MOVIE LINKS

A BEAUTIFUL MIND... 4.5 Russell Crowe.. I think he's gonna win the Oscar on this one what do you think. While Ron Howard, certainly did his stuff. Certainly most honorably the Best Picture of the Year!

ABOUT A BOY... 4.75 Hugh Grant a shallow selfish single male. Seeks single women with children whom he finds as a new discovery to fulfill his sexual needs and non-caring concerns. Finds himself a mentor to a little boy, whom from a dysfunctional family seeks a father. While the two are an odd pair they make very clear statements in todays society where single living is lonely but satisfying for men, lonely and confusing for women. Good date film, made me laugh all the way though. The kid seemed normal, but had the oddest of mothers that made his life a wreck. Listening to Hugh Grant's philosophy on life, love and women made me understand single life in a unattached approach.

AI... 3.0 Such a sad film with Great Special Effects. If you think of artificial intelligence with a heart then you'll feel sorry for the ones that look for love without ever finding it.

ALI... 3.0 I loved the story behind Mohammed Ali.. but Will Smith really didn't make me feel like he was Ali. He's a good actor mind you, it just didn't take me over the edge.

ALMOST FAMOUS... 3.25 what a humorous adventure by one young man who really couldn't act. He was one smart kid with wonderful Big Eyes. This is what happens when you keep your mouth shut! Everybody Likes YOU!!! Take me back to the 70's ... and what it's like to be a roadie. *best screenplay

AMELIE... 4.0 Such a wonderful visual film if you don't mind reading sub titles (it's in French). Romantic and an excellent way of finding yourself and a partner in a way that we all dream of.

AMERICAN BEAUTY 4.5 1999 Best Writing, Directing, & Picture.. that's my real feelings... but TRASH! I tell YOU!!! What is America coming to... Annette Benning Shoulda won Best Actress on that one... they gypped her. (I saw this one 3 times... kept taking people to see it!)

BEST IN SHOW... 4.5 Very Cute film if your a dog lover, you'll laugh your heart out and understand why people are obsessed with their pets

BILLY ELLIOT... 5.0 Think cause I'm a dancer that this movie meant a lot to me. Faced with parents that don't approve of you shaking your bum on stage isn't exactly appealing for them when they want you to learn how to type and be a secretary or work in a factory. He surpassed all odds and became who he was in spite of everyone and their fears. Such a heart warming movie. See it with some girlfriends or dancer buddies, they will all enjoy it. This movie also changed a lot of Guy friends opinions of male dancers. As I grew up with men that danced who were interested in WOMEN!!!

BLADE II... 4.25 Westly Snipes does it again, I love the first Blade Movie with Chris Christopherson.. who is still a hunk at his age.. Woooo Hoooo!!! This movie should have come out before Resident Evil as they both had similar themes, however this one is soooo much better.. Vampires and Clones, oh brother. But I won't have bad dreams about this one. With Westly saving the day. I guarantee that you will love the martial arts.. Westly is a 5th Degree Black Belt, did you know that? I think I'll marry him.. I need a body guard.. hehehe

BRIDGET JONES DIARY... 4.5 Loved this film... such a girls film but also a good date flick if your with someone you are sure about. Otherwise you'll go home arguing about who's right and who's wrong. Rene did a really good job.

CASTAWAY... 4.0 Everybody's going to see Tom Hanks act by himself! ... and not say a Word.... Ok Ok... Wilson (the ball) was there. What a SAD movie and I do mean boo hoo without any tears. He sure looks different after he lost the weight and grew a lot of HAIR!

CHANGING LANES... 4.0 Why would a Lawyer have ONLY One Copy of an important document behooves me! Samuel L. Jackson fierce approach makes me wanna Scream! While Ben Afflack made a pretty convincing lawyer. Good one if you like Revenge, and mind games. If you ever have something somebody needs... ask if there's a Reward!

CHICKEN RUN.. 4.5 stars. Animation Very Good! They made me SMILE showing ALL my TEETH, and talk very British! Mel Gibson... Macho Macho Mannnnn... On Video as Well

CHOCOLAT... 4.25 Certainly an inquisitive movie all about relationships and Chocolate! A wonderful love story with all the Taboo's about sex, gypsy's, religion and family! What a good date film, do take your mother as well! *a cute film

CROUCHING TIGER... the Hidden Dragon... 5.0 What a romantic adventure! I loved the scenery, the costumes and the Martial Art's! Never has a movie like this been made since "Enter the Dragon".... and I am a Bruce Lee Fan. What I would do to be so privileged and skilled as the young ladies in this film. and the handsome leading men are something to remember! Everybody will enjoy this film. Even if you don't like sub- titles. *shoulda won best film

FIGHT CLUB... 5.0... This Movie was a winner all around... I guess the Academy forgot it too! I could watch this one over and over again like the Matrix. FRAILTY... 4.0 I didn't like this film, at least the subject matter was a bit touchy. Religion, abusive father and murder. Not exactly a feel good flick. Matthew McConaughey tells his story to the FBI of his childhood, in which God gave his father a vision to rid the world of Bad People (Gods Hands) killer. Interesting Huh... dunno why, but I found this movie interesting.

GALAXY QUEST 4.5 was like Lost in Space, Star Trek, Sea Quest. I really enjoyed this movie and is a good one to rent for the family. GONE IN 60 SECONDS.... 3.25 stars ....Never a Dull Moment Love that Nick Cage... Angelina Jolie... Is so hot and daring! If you want to learn how to steal cars... a must see. Good Guys do finish last! On Video too.. but this is one I would buy!

GLADIATOR....4.25 stars...Russell Crowe A MUST SEE!!!!... Nothin like a Man's Man and a Lady's Man... He's got it ALL. If You Liked BEN HUR... although it was kinda long.. I'm hoping Mr. Crowe WINS an Oscar or needs a Wife!! *best actor

HANNIBAL... 5.0 The Cannibal!!! Why would anyone want to consume human flesh, out of desire, out of gratification, out of mere possibilities of creating disarray. In any case, you won't see me eating Red Meat for awhile!

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERERS STONE... 4.5 While I'm not into Magic.. hehehe.... I'd rather be a kid who dreams of being the Greatest Magician with certain power's and skills. Which one must learn in Hogwarts School for Warlocks and Witches... OK.. don't you ever call me a witch or I'll get my magic wand and ZAP YOU! Certainly one to see in the movies.. also one to buy for years to come. The Next Wizard of OZ Classic!

HOLLYWOOD ENDING... N/R *Woody Allen plays a once-famous director who's given one last chance to direct a film, only to go psychosomatically blind, a fact that must be kept hidden from the entire cast and crew. (*movie.com) ICE AGE... 4.75 Very Cute Animation. This is both a kid and adult film. Made you feel like people are just animals and friends are just human. Accept everyone for who they are hand in hand. Loved this film.

IRON MONKEY... 4.5 Somehow this film just made me feel like getting an Asian HUNNY.... those guys are REALLY Cute and can KICK BUTT! The special effects are just as good as Crouching Tiger... but the quality of the film seemed somewhat grainy. Think I'll get in a Taebo Class! The Iron Monkey Strikes Again... Our NEW Super HERO!!!

K-PAX... 3.5 Kevin Spacey from outer space or mentally disturbed... While sitting in this movie a couple walked out.... and women in the restroom afterwards were really disappointed. While I REALLY Liked this film, I think it is more for a Sci-Fi fan like myself who understood the concept rather than some psychology freak who didn't get it! Wait for it on Video.

LITTLE NICKY... 3.25 Very Funny Adam Sandler, wish he were cuter. The story was entertaining with silly moments that made me laugh! Everyone was kinda hellish if not heavenly. MEN OF HONOR...4.0 Robert DeNiro was a superb hero, jerk and friend. What else is new.... While Cuba Gooding Jr. was an excellent one legged role model. Go Figure. *best supporting actor

MONSTERS BALL... 5.0 Hallie Berry Won Best Actress and deserved it! An unusual film about love between two people from very different backgrounds brought together by circumstances. This one does wonders for interracial relationships.

MONSTERS INC. ... 4.75 Not for Kids alone... I saw this one twice and I could still see it again. The animation from Pixar and Lucasfilm has really come a long way since Toy Story. I want one of those fuzzy purple monsters for a Christmas Gift! See this one on the Big Screen Over and Over again!

MURDER BY NUMBERS.... NR Sandra Bullock plays Cassie Mayweather, a crime scene specialist on the trail of two high-school students accused of murder, Richard Haywood and Justin Pendleton. The students believe they have created the perfect method of criminal behavior and can elude capture at their leisure. Cassie is weighed down by her inexperienced partner, Sam Kennedy, who plays by all the rules. (*movie.com)

OCEAN'S 11.. 2.0 This movie had everyone in it.. but with no real depth. Such a bland performance by everyone. They musta really needed the money or just wanted to do a project together as friends. Although I do think this was one of George Clooney's better films, go figure.

OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOU... 5.0 My FAVORITE Pic of 2001-2002 This movie shoulda won more than the songs. There was such a heartwarming comedy in a bizarre turn of events. I totally lost myself in the scenery and the characters. George Clooney.. with all those kids...LOL Think this is his BEST Film Yet! I'm still toe tapping to these tunes. "I am a Man...."

PANIC ROOM... 4.25 Yes, I was panicked but hardly scared! Forest Whittacher.. excuse the spelling.. was ohh sooo puppy dog eyes... I love him as a director too! Someone please tell me why would anybody have a Panic Room and NOT have ANY FOOD in there.. Geeze.. where do they get these ideas... Guess they don't live in California where earthquake kits are necessary..... Sure am glad Jodie Foster whapped that guy over the Head with a Hammer... Oh am I giving away the good parts??? The girl that played her daughter was excellent, I'm sure we'll see here again soon! Please don't take your children to see this film. I saw some youngins in there.. and Man O MAN were they FRIGHTENED coming out! Very Much adult viewing.

RESIDENT EVIL... 2.5 A remake of The Night of the Living Dead. And this film is DEAD... ok ok.. except for the Futuristic Viewpoint. Lot's of Shocking Moments *sound effects.. and Great Special Effects by a plot that went nowhere except in circles. Reminded me of Alien, but not enough REAL Visual actually getting tired of FAKE Special Effects.. can't we use it more sparingly like they did in Amelie. Or, Maybe it was the Flesh Eating People that made me lose interest.. Yeuk!!!

SAVE THE LAST DANCE... 3.25 Although produced by MTV it was pretty good. I was surprised cause I saw the girl that played the lead interviewed and she seem like she had her nose in the air.... didn't come off as being someone I'd like to know. But in the movie her boyfriend was black! Actually a good story involving love and color.

SHADOW OF A VAMPIRE... 4.0 William Defoe is very believable, you should see this film. It's not scary at all, actually does a great job in displaying cinematography in the golden age of film. What a character actor.

SHOWTIME... 2.0 I'm still an Eddie Murphy fan even with his baby looking teeth, while DiNiro shoulda kept his talents for a better flick. Did he need the money or WHAT??? A cop television show that's a hit, while filming real life situations. I coulda thought up that one, maybe the real thing is much better. NOT!!!

SNATCH... 3.75 An attempt to duplicate a Pulp Fiction in the British sense.... well I think it's British or Irish or Scot. Non the less, I actually laughed without understanding a word!

SPIDERMAN... 4.25 Although a childrens comic strip, makes a good attempt at transforming a High School kid into a (Spider) Super Hero. Loved Tobey Maguire in Almost Famous, you remember this kid with the BIG Eyes and innocent looks. Well, he's BAAACKK... This movie followed all the cliches that I was falling asleep in the middle. Kept waiting for MORE in Special Effects, looked a bit too animated at times. Although a Good kid flick, with a great sound track. Could be a teenage date flick. Cliff Robertson caught my Eye, messed up that he was the Bad Guy, but did a terrific job!

STAR WARS: EPISODE II Attack of the Clones... 3.25 Are we flushed with a bombardment of sci-fi animation or WHAT?? While the background images kept my attention, the dialogue is clearly boring George Lucas. (Can This Guy Afford a Writer or WHAT?) I've never seen Samuel L. Jackson look so displaced, but ole George managed to do IT! Ho Hum the Clones are HERE, if I didn't got to the Bargain Matinee, I'd have asked for a refund! Maybe this is a kid flick or did I just fall asleep in time to wake up to Yoda come to the rescue. In any case, save your hard earned dollars for Toy's R Us!

SWORDFISH... 2.5 Hackers will certainly love this movie.. makes what they do seem worthwhile. Travolta is just the kewl rich dude on the scene with Hallie Berry at his side.. giving it the almost at the edge sort of theme that didn't even take me through the park! Special effects were nice, maybe it was the camera angles that didn't take me over the edge but the bus scene was nice. Maybe... it was... well. coulda been anything... but Travolta and Hallie without them.. this film sucked!

TALENTED MR. RIPLEY 1.0 and I do mean 1.0: It's a man's flick, But then whos to say what kind of man. I guess (Just to let you know... The star is for Italian scenes and that handsome supporting actor what's his name?

THE CELL... 4.25 had excellent cinematography... I'd have to see it again just to grasp the whole event... but the story was so absurd... inside a skitzes head... yuk... for that reason... I could do without a rerun.

THE FAMILY MAN... 4.25 Nicholas Cage, I seem to love him whatever he does. This movie certainly should be seen every year during the holiday's. What a NEW classic remake of "Its a Beautiful Life" I'd sure like to be His Girlfriend!

THE GIFT... 3.75 A card reading lady who can see into the future, but sometimes not soon enough! Life in a small town and their small mindedness. This movie is really good. Finally a thriller that describes me! Hehehe THE

GREEN MILE -0.00 No Rating! That was the stupidest movie I've seen in a long while.... or maybe it was my date! What a terrible story, do they think we'd fall for the mouse? Although his special gift does remind myself of me! hehe

THE MATRIX...5.0 Where do you reside? The real world or... could it be that we all are in some kind of Matrix? Lawrence Fishburne, the perfect role for him. This should become a series.

THE MEXICAN... 4.0 With Brad Pitt the cutie and Erin Brockcovish as his running mate... yea.. they were running for their life! I loved this film, something about the acute romance themes, and ohhh and the drama. P.S. The dog stole the show, and there was something esoteric about "That Stoplight". Pay attention PLUEEZE!

THE SCORPION KING... 2.5 Take Off on the Mummy??? Where was the Mummy and Special Effects...While the Rock looks Great.. and Kelly Hu's body was the Bomb!!! The film direction was very choppy and distorted. Kinda like a student film. I love the Rocks voice, but acting lessons are needed badly.

THE SIXTH SENSE... 4.75 Should have won supporting actor... did I miss something??? You know...I saw it twice!!! That little boy was perfect! "Go Bruce Willis amazing performance".... I see dead people... hehehe

THE TIME MACHINE... 2.75 Love the beautiful people and the costumes were well done. Makes you think about the future of this planet and how can we change things now for the better. A good kid flick, for the sci fi at heart. The animation made me feel like we are finally getting somewhere with all this technology especially with the scenery, but the bad guys still looked animated with a monkey sort of realism.

TRAFFIC... 5.0 Should be the Best Picture of the YEAR! With all of the Wonderful conceptual aspects and cinematography, should do very well at the Oscar's. The life and times of drugs in America. Wouldn't you rather take your kids to see Billy Elliot.. (not a kids film) This one hit's home in more way's than one. *best cinematography

TRAINING DAY... 4.75 You have to Rent this one... Denzel Washington is an amazing character actor Winning Best Actor 2001... He's such an Ahole in this movie, as bad cop you'd never want to meet in real life. His Character is a ruthless ugly dude not worth mentioning in a diary. Ethan Hawke can kick butt while saving his own butt with the best of them. Why be at the wrong place in the right profession. P.S. This movie made me NOT like Denzel. (Macey Gray, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg do cameo's)

UNFAITHFUL... 4.5 Richard Gere still handsome as can be, while a faithful husband discovers his wife Diane Lane, is having an affair with a handsome hunk Olivier Martinez. While the torrid love scenes should be rated XX, I found my heart pounding with gasps in the air and moments of wanting to walk out on this one. A must see movie for all those "Players" in da House! Will make you think twice about bumping into a handsome stranger, falling in lust and reasoning a mad cover-up to protect the one you love. Not a child film, don't take your mother. While almost a date flick, be sure your relationship is SOLID!

VANILLA SKY... 4.25 Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz.. An Artists Delight... testing ones senses in every way. I'm gonna buy that sound track and I can't say that for most films. Tom is Lucid Dreaming but that's all I'll say, you have to see this one as I'd love to be that Flat Chested Girl making out with Tom Cruise... but boy is her accent WORKIN!!! LOL

Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN.... Haven't seen this movie YET.. but am told it's One to SEE! *Two young men take a road trip with a woman they're both in love with. This is director Alfonso Cuarn's first Spanish-language film in 10 years. He's best known in the United States for his last film, Great Expectations, starring Robert De Niro and Ethan Hawke. (*movie.com)
