Helluva Holidayz in the Land of Retail

ReTaHELL

Actually, it's NOT so Bad.. just that title captures attention.

Yes, I've been working LONG Hours, Yes, even Overnights.. meaning 5am til 5am. Yes, standing or walking barks ones feet, and Yeahhsss... a paycheck is Goood!

NOT that I'm complaining OR Anything... life is pretty good. My sister came up from LA and stayed with me the Thanksgiving weekend. I was the Official Dish Washer at Mom's house! Dinner was Healthy, no fat, no butter, a turkey, green beans, carrots with a prune, lightly garnished cheese mac n roni, stuffing and home made Bday Cake for my sister. The 25th was her day. She's the oldest of the children.

The GOOD News is.... I didn't gain any pounds this Thanksgiving.

Happy AFTER Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

HAD to Work Thanksgivng Day! From 6am - 1pm. NOT too too bad, but still it wasn't like I had a 3 - 4 day weekend like normal people. Also had to work the Verwwyy next day... You know.. the BIGGEST Shopping Day of the Year! And Ohhh Lorday... Everyone was at the Big Retailer throwing our lovely garments, toys and shoes all over, under and on top of the racks, floor and behind scary areas of the store. It looked like a tornado hit. We were Wooped with exhaustion, not to mention just plain tired of putting back those things people don't want. Yes, they have to go back on the shelf.

I have new found appreciation for those people who have to fold clothes after you mess them up after ... ohhh isn't this a lovely sweater dear... yes hon.. but you don't need it. (then customer throws it on the ground) Who picks it up??? Yes.. it's ME Dear... picking up the Raider's Suede coat off the ground, it's me dear, finding a missing panty from a pack of 6, it's ME Dear.. who finds eaten candies behind that shaver, and it's ME Dear... who kindly smiles and say's: Thank you for shopping at your friendly Pinole Big Retailer! Come Back Again!

Whoever said the Holidays were happy didn't work in Retail.

Going to Japan in a few dayz.

I'll miss you all, but am going to be training.. you know the monk thing. They say it's cold this time of year, but not yet snowing. Tonight, I think I'll start packing. Keep your prayers with me, as I'll be praying for YOU All. As this year comes to an end, I wish you all the Happiness and Success for the coming New Year!

Happy Holidayz You ALL!!!

My tarot card reading for today is...

My first card pick...

You are Strength

Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.

This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

My second pick is:

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, genius and creativity. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with dreams. This is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

My third card is:

You are The High Priestess

Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.

The High Priestess is the card of high spiritual knowledge, instinctual impulses, supernatural attainment, secret or forbidden knowledge. She hold the scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the venus, neptune, the moon and pluto. However she uses her knowledge to uphold the truth, she sits on the throne of decision and richeousness. She will and can make the wind change, the weather fluxuate and your heart illuminate a healing ray of sunlight.

I always pick 3 cards.
