What Kinda Show IS This???

SHOWTIME!

This is the essay that I wrote for my entrance to the Master's Program.

They requested that we write about our IDEAL Performance or Show Imaginary or Real.

So... Here it is..

My Ideal Show

My ideal performance would be a show which incorporated the live orchestration of music, dramatic theatre, dance and song with fabulous sets, lighting design and costumes.

In an ideal world this would be a traveling show that toured the U.S and abroad eventually becoming a television sitcom and feature film.

The performers would be professionals specializing in various talents. The technical assistants and directors will have experience with live shows and well seasoned in their various professions.

The script would be something that I wrote assisted by script editors and copywriters eventually turning into a Best Seller as a book and I will be going on book signing tours to promote and sell its concepts.

Science Fiction Action Sitcom Drama, Guess who the STAR is.. hehehe

Set in the distant future, as a science fiction action comedic drama with animation and gadgets galore. The story details the private life of a spiritual master/priestess turned private investigator solving different cases because of her psychic tendencies which also made her popular among the rich and famous as they trust her with their innermost secrets. Her lifestyle takes her backstage to concerts, television and movie sets, airplane rides with jet setters and to fabulous places and parties where it is discovered that she reads crystal balls, palms and does dream interpretation. She has a team of individuals that assist her with spying on individuals, breaking and entering locked facilities, martial arts and computer hacking each of whom also has a psychic specialty.

I guess you could say that this is Mission Impossible meets the Matrix.

With a slick almost seamless timeless appearance of the 60s futuristic approach to the New Millennium. Time travel is capable as is transporting to one local to another within seconds but some just prefer the Old Fashioned Way as in driving an air mobile there are just some things that money cant buy. And that is time. This is a constant quote.

The script/show would focus on the Ordinary People who became the Beautiful People showing their lives before they became famous such as waitresses, bartenders, delivery persons, and business people. This show will discover the dysfunctional details and personal facts that create disharmony, but after the discovery of ones history brings families and friends closer together. Creating harmony among different religions, races, and cultures it will change the way people think about their lives making a difference today.

Initially this show will begin with skits, focusing around the different lifestyles of the cast establishing their unique capabilities. The story evolves into the lives of their clients, explaining the misconceptions that surround the rich and famous.

Each skit displaying and creating mystery, intrigue with gratification through the discovery of Certain Secrets capturing the detailed organization of the Society Underground and their questions about themselves and their public image.

The play will receive Tonys, the sitcom will receive Emmys and the Film will receive Oscars with the prestigious Picture of the Year Award and Best Musical Score. Commercials advertising the DVD and Video with extras and out takes will be aired during Prime Time. Cast and Crew from the Film will be interviewed on Early Morning and Late Night talk shows advertising toys and high tech gadgets.

Within one year of the Oscars, an animation series will begin production with spin offs of said film I & II follow-ups, becoming a Classic Pop Culture Icon.

Which famous poet are you?

HASH(0x890f880)

You are Walt Whitman! Champion of the Transcendentalist American Ideal, Walt Whitman is one of the first poets to use the "free verse" form in America. He has been imitated, but will never be duplicated, just like you!
